Due to the impending retirement of a longstanding member of staff, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clubhouse Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our clubhouse and deliver a warm, welcoming experience for members, guests and visitors – something for which Aberdovey Golf Club is renowned. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for overseeing the clubhouse operations, working closely with the General Manager and wider management team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, top 100 ranked golf club and play a key role in shaping the clubhouse experience for our members and visitors.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Hours: Full-time, including evenings and weekends as required. A salaried role but worked seasonally with increased hours in the summer and less hours in the winter.

Aberdovey Golf Club is celebrating after being named Employers of the Year at the 2026 North Wales Fire and Rescue Service Awards.

The award was presented at the Service’s Long Service and Community Awards Ceremony, held at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, on Thursday 24 September. The annual awards recognise the contribution of staff, employers, partners and members of the community who help support the work of North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

Aberdovey Golf Club was recognised for its contribution as an employer, releasing on-call firefighters, highlighting the important role local organisations play in supporting the Service and its personnel.

The club is delighted to receive this recognition and reflects our commitment to supporting our staff and the wider community.

Under this agreement, Aberdovey members can enjoy golf at Broadstone for a special rate of £50 per person, available Monday to Thursday, subject to availability.

Aberdovey Golf Club welcomed 23 junior golfers for the 2026 Junior Open today, with competitors producing an impressive standard of golf in good playing conditions. There were some great performances across both the boys’ and girls’ competitions.

In the girls’ event, Aliyah Summers of Bridgnorth claimed the Gross title with a fabulous level par round of 74, while Lucy Hurst of Aberdovey secured the Nett prize with an excellent score of 67.

The boys’ competition was closely contested, with Ifan Owens of Caernarfon enjoying an outstanding day to win both the Gross (75) and Nett (65) titles. Keoni Maguire of Welshpool finished runner-up in both categories, while Lilleshall Hall’s George Braine took third place in the Nett competition with a score of 68.
