Our resident PGA professional, Joe Davies is highly experienced and has been looking after the needs of Members and visitors at Aberdovey Golf Club for more than 25 years.

When visiting Aberdovey Golf Club, probably the first place you will go is to the Pro Shop. Here you can be sure of a warm welcome from Joe and his team, you can check your tee time and other arrangements, get your buggy, trolley, drinks etc, pay your green fees and be introduced to the rest of our club's facilities.

Lessons and Coaching

Joe is a fully qualified Golf Union of Wales Coach and can provide tailored coaching solutions to players of all ages and abilities. Whether you are a beginner, an experienced player trying to identify or correct faults or are looking to improve your links golf, following a personal assessment Joe can recommend a plan based on your personal needs.

Joe offers individual or group coaching sessions and also offers training utilising the Explanar swing plane trainers, including one specifically designed for the coaching of Juniors.

Lesson prices are based on £25 for 30 minutes, with a discount of 20% off the cost of a course of 6 lessons, so only £125. Playing lessons are available on request. Special rates are available for members please ask in the Pro Shop for more details.

Putting coaching can take place throughout the year in the 3 hole Indoor putting area to hone this most important aspect of the game.
