Golf in Aberdovey in the summer months is a glorious experience. You can enjoy classic links on a course with beautiful views and great heritage with a 2 day 'stay and play' deal on certain dates during July and August.

There is rarely a better time to enjoy the classic links and beauty of golf at Aberdovey than at twilight during the lazy summer months.

During July and August we have some great deals and you can experience Aberdovey at its most captivating after 4pm for only £25 per person - a saving of 33% on our normal green fee.

In support of Wales' Golf Awareness initiative, the Club is making available Trial Memberships of 3 months duration for the balance of 2010 aimed at those who are not already members of golf clubs.

The scheme will have two options:
1    an outlay of £45 per month for 3 months will enable play on the course at any time, including Members’ times.  It will also enable play in Club Competitions except the ‘Trophy’ competitions.
2    paying only £20 per month for 3 months, to play after 5.00pm only.

The new Member will be in receipt of a Members’ Discount Card which will avail them of the (presently 15%) discount on all bar purchases and bar snacks.

The new Member will be able to invite guests to play the course at the Members’ Guest rate (50% of the applicable green fee rate for the day/time).

Before embarking on the first round of golf under the scheme, participants will be expected to be able to demonstrate proof of their golfing ability.  This may be achieved either:
•    By furnishing a handicap certificate from a recognised CONGU-affiliated golf club  of which the applicant might have been a member in the past or a society handicap;
Or
•    By arranging with the Club PGA Professional, Joe Davies (01654 767493, option 2), to hit some balls under his supervision at a mutually convenient time in advance of the intended first round on the course.

This is a great, low cost way of playing golf and seeing if you might like to join a Top 100 Club which itself offers outstanding value for money.
