Mid Wales County Championships – Results

We were delighted to host the Mid Wales County Championships at Aberdovey on 20th and 21st April 2024.

Report from the MWCGA website:

“Mid Wales County Golf Association would like to thank Aberdovey Golf Club very much indeed for their warm welcome hosting the County Championships this weekend. The course was superb and the hospitality and organisation second to none. Our new County Champion is Sara Rees-Evans (Penrhos) and the Plate Winner is Alex O’Brien (Aberdovey).

Heartfelt thanks to everyone at the club and to the referees, all the competitors and supporters on making this such a fantastic event. Hats off the weather too, I think it’s fair to say it played a big part in our enjoyment this weekend!”

Charity Coffee Morning – Saturday 4th May

Aberdovey Golf Club ladies’ section held their biannual coffee morning on Saturday 4th May, raising a fantastic £670 which will be split between the Captains’ Charity (Meirionnydd Special Riding Group) and ladies’ section funds.

We were delighted to welcome Sue and Jaspa from MSRG, who gave a heart warming and informative talk about their voluntary work with the charity, which is based nearby in Arthog.

Many thanks to all the ladies who worked hard to raise money on the day and for all the donations and purchases!
