Ladies' Home Internationals coming back to Aberdovey

Whilst it is still a long way off we are very pleased indeed to have been asked again by the R&A to host the Ladies' Home Internationals (10 - 12 September 2014).  In addition to the match days there are, of course, a couple of practice days too.

Those with a long memory will recall a wonderful week in 1991 when the Club was buzzing with activity and good golf from each of the Wales, Scotland, England and Ireland teams and it was Ireland who finally won.

The closure of the course at an otherwise busy time for visitors is more than compensated for by the prestige of holding the Championship.  With the number of players, caddies and spectators around, and with some modest compensation from the R&A, the Club will enjoy some income both in the Dormy and, if 1991 is anything to judge by, the Clubhouse.
