Juniors
Aberdovey has a thriving Junior Section which holds a number of competitions through the year. These range from the Junior Club Championship, Gold Cup Knock Out, Monthly Medals, to Running Eclectics and Stablefords and a variety of Foursomes competitions. These competitions are structured to encourage Juniors of all ages and abilities to play golf.
The Juniors at Aberdovey have access to three measured courses which assist in handicapping them at all ages thus enabling them to progress from gaining a first handicap through to a full CONGU handicap based on age and ability.
- Bronze Division 10 years & under with handicaps of 27 and over play 9 holes from Blue tees;
- Silver Division 11 years and over (or 10 years and under with a handicap of 26 or under for 9 holes) play from LGU tees except the 3rd;
- Gold Division 13 years and over, or 9 hole handicap of 15 or less for boys and 19 or less for girls, play 18 holes from yellow tees for boys and red tees for girls.
Juniors are actively encouraged to take up playing golf via the Tri Golf Scheme and Junior lessons run by our Professional Mr Joe Davies.
Junior membership is available and the Juniors have their own email address juniors@aberdoveygolf.co.uk.
