The the flexibility between cooked breakfast and lunch when we were early birds was outstanding.

The dormy house was very good. Quiet and comfortable.

We enjoyed the course very much and more and more for every round. In the fine weather we sacrificed/exchanged one for a stroll on the beach to the town and a fresh swim in Cardigan Bay!

And I fell in love with your wild flower "decorated" bunkers!

Personally I think Aberdovey has something that is impossible to articulate, a magical feeling that I've so far only experienced at The Machrie and Dornoch. I could not fault Aberdovey in any way. From a course perspective, the start is brutal and the end is tough too. There's a little respite in the middle but it's a supremely challenging course presented in wonderful condition. The clubhouse is absolute top quality too.

"I was fortunate to be able to play Aberdovey during our trip through Wales this year. I have to say that you have a truly outstanding golf course in every sense of the word.

I joined up with three of your members (Brian, Brian and Keith) and had a wonderful time while learning about the history and nuances of the course.

The staff was very friendly and my wife and I (who caddied for me) were made to feel welcome and right at home.

I am a golf course superintendent (greenkeeper) by trade and I have to say the course was in excellent condition.

What I'd heard about Aberdovey was true...there's a mystique about it that I can't really explain. I came away from playing there with a joy that is hard to describe...and a feeling that this is the way golf and golf courses were meant to be!

The out and back layout with its ever changing winds tests my range of golf shots to the full. The new rustic style of bunkering offers a much more strategic challenge – especially off the new back tees.  Ball positioning and course management is much more important now, especially if you want to attack the pins. The greens are coming back to their best and Aberdovey has definitely raised the bar in providing a memorable golf experience. "
