Practice Area & Teaching Facilities
We want you to play well at Aberdovey and enjoy the unique golf experience. To help you warm up appropriately there are three practice areas to enjoy; the putting green, the short game area and the long game area.
The 600m2 putting green is maintained to the same high standard as the greens on the golf course thus ensuring your practice routine will be at its optimum. A plateau section allows you to gain confidence in your stroke, judge distances and get used to the pace. The lower section has much more movement so you can practice reading breaks and allow borrow.
The short game area is currently under re-construction and will be open in May 2009. The new build will be able to facilitate a wide range of golf shots including pitch & runs, chipping and bunker play to a large, tiered green complex.
The long game area is circa 180yds long which is ideal for working through your irons before play. Turf and plastic tees are available.
All of the practice facilities are close to the clubhouse. The professional is available to coach you through the practice fundamentals prior to commencing your round.
